Mousa Dembele barely lasted a few minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers as the Belgian picked up an ankle injury and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
The midfielder’s leg was strapped up but Mauricio Pochettino provided an update on the player and expected the Belgian to be back soon.

The 31-year-old has been ever-present in our team this season, and we might be stretched if the midfielder doesn’t return to fitness soon.
Tottenham face PSV Eindhoven in midweek and then Crystal Palace at the weekend, and with two games in the previous week too, our team needs to have as many fit players as possible.
Many Tottenham supporters weren’t confident of the player returning soon, unlike Pochettino, and reacted to the injury on Twitter.
out for 3 months then

That translates to “out for 6 months”.

Ah the good old spurs assessment of injuries, when that tank goes down and stays down it’s not good, ankle twist looks like Kane’s last year won’t see him this year again I reckon sadly
— Paul Dyer (@mabbutt) November 3, 2018
I’d say 6-8 weeks out for sure

The ol’ “not a big issue” line. Probably means at least two months a la Verts, Rose, Eriksen… 😪
— Brad Gold (@bgold89) November 3, 2018
That’s the last we’ll see of Dembele. On the scrap heap and shipped to China
