Mauricio Pochettino was upset with Tottenham and wanted the side to play with more respect after our 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The away side raced into a 3-0 lead against the Wolves but we let them come back in the game thanks to a couple of late penalties.
The manager was quoted by Sky Sports after the game as saying:
“I think at 3-0 everyone believed the game was over.
“When you make a mistake, and need to take the game more seriously and not concede possession so cheaply, you put the game at risk.
“That is what we need to be more careful of, and have more discipline. We need to have more control and play in a way that is respectful with the football. I was not so happy, I will have to see it again, but I am not happy.”
The Argentine was pleased with the performance of Juan Foyth who was playing his first Premier League game since joining the club.
The youngster was responsible for both goals we conceded but Pochettino was certain the defender would learn from this experience.
The manager is right in saying that we shouldn’t let teams come into a game, especially when we are in a comfortable position.
