“Fight” is the one word that most Tottenham players shared after their 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.
The home side knew only a victory could keep their hopes alive of progression into the next round and needed a pair of Harry Kane strikes to beat the away team.
PSV got the lead early on through Luuk de Jong, but we did just about enough to get the three points. Kane was one of the stars of the show, and he embodied our “never give up” attitude with the winner in the 89th minute.

Dele Alli also got a chance to share his thoughts about the win, and his caption of “still alive” is spot on.

One of our heroes from the game was Paulo Gazzaniga. The Argentine started in place of the suspended Hugo Lloris and was quality throughout the game.

Kane’s caption seemed to catch on with some of the other players. Davinson Sanchez also shared a similar message after the tough win over the Dutch giants.
Hasta el final 💪🏽

Fernando Llorente might be a forgotten man, but the Spaniard had a role to play in Harry Kane scoring for Spurs.

Jan Vertonghen is missing from the team with an injury, however, the Belgian was present on social media to display his support for the team.
Get in there. Tough game but the boys fought for everything. On we go 👊#UCL

His Belgian teammate Toby Alderweireld had a decent game against PSV, and the Tottenham defender was quick to suggest the team doesn’t give up easily.
This team doesn’t give up. Always, always fight till the end. COYS! 👊🏻 #championsleague pic.twitter.com/RtC2m5OVQ0

The win certainly is a confidence boost for Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see how we perform in our next tie against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
