Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng is being looked at by Tottenham, according to Transfer Market Web (h/t Daily Star).
The 30-year-old has been decent for Bayern ever since he joined them from Manchester City and has been ever-present for the German side in recent years.
The German even picked up the World Cup in 2014 and the report adds that his contract with Bayern ends in 2021. The centre-back was linked (h/t Daily Star) with a move to PSG and Manchester United in the summer and claimed it was difficult for him to leave the Bundesliga giants.
The report adds that Toby Alderweireld could leave Spurs next summer and the German could replace the Belgian.
Alderweireld hasn’t signed a new deal with Spurs and his contract will expire at the end of the season. The report adds that we can extend his stay at the club by 12 months.
There are a number of clubs interested in the Belgian, as per the report, but we should do everything we can to keep him at the club.
Boateng might have Premier League experience but he isn’t at the same level as Alderweireld. The Belgian has formed a great partnership with Jan Vertonghen at the back too.

Getting Boateng on the cheap would not be a bad deal if he is a back-up to one of our first-choice defenders. We also have Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez in the team, and it might be tough for the German to play regularly under Mauricio Pochettino.
