Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino stated that Davinson Sanchez and Kieran Trippier need to be assessed after the pair picked up injuries.

Trippier had to be replaced after starting against Crystal Palace with Serge Aurier taking his place in the first half.

Our manager was speaking (h/t Tottenham Hotspur) after the win over the Eagles and was asked about Trippier’s condition.

“I don’t believe it will be a big issue.

“It’s a groin, he felt his groin, he felt a little tired. We’ll see if he’s involved on international duty or not, but we have two weeks.”

Sanchez was not selected for the squad that travelled to Palace due to a hamstring problem, as per the report.

We saw Juan Foyth start in place of the Colombian defender, and Pochettino spoke about the centre-back’s problems too.

“Davinson…in the Champions League game (against PSV) he felt a little in his hamstring. We need to assess him too. We need to wait and we hope it’s not a big issue either.”

There was more concern for Tottenham after Erik Lamela left the pitch in a bloody mess late in the game. A Palace player fell on the Argentine and we could see he was in considerable distress as he was replaced by Harry Winks.

However, Lamela seemed to be in better condition after the game as he posted a picture with Foyth.

Hopefully, none of these injuries are long-term given how many problems we have dealt with this season. Fortunately, we are headed to an international break now and return to face Chelsea at Wembley on 24 November.
