Moussa Sissoko is enjoying a fine spell under Mauricio Pochettino this season. The Frenchman has been criticised many times since joining Tottenham from Newcastle United, as per Football.london.

However, the former Magpie was one of our best players in the 1-0 win Crystal Palace. Football.london adds that a number of Tottenham fans were singing Sissoko’s name at Selhurst Park.

The Frenchman seemed to enjoy the adulation and even applauded the away fans after the game. Sissoko was happy with his performance and the fans, and was quoted by Football.london saying:

“Yes, it was very good and thanks to them [the fans].

“This is a good moment for me and I have to keep going in that way.

“When I am playing I am focused on my game and trying to help the team.

“I can hear the noise from outside, but the priority is on the pitch. But when people say nice things about you, you are grateful.”

Sissoko has now started five games in a row for Tottenham, and although he had a tough time early on, the Frenchman knew his hard work would pay off in the end.

“In my head I said just keep working and focus on my job, and if I do well, things will turn around.”

The Frenchman added that he would keep pushing for the team and help them get better as the season progresses.

Tottenham not purchasing any players in the summer and injuries to a number of stars ensured Sissoko gets a few starts under Pochettino.
