Tottenham star Mousa Dembele has travelled to Qatar for treatment on his ankle injury which is expected to keep him out for six weeks, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belgian picked up the injury in our 3-2 over Wolverhampton Wanderers and had to be carried off after a few minutes.

The report adds that the Belgian midfielder will be undergoing treatment at Aspetar in Doha and is out of a contract at the end of the year.

Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful of the 31-year-old returning in January but has to be wary of the injury problems suffered by the midfielder in recent seasons.

The report claims that the Belgian has attracted interest from China and could possibly move in the January window.

Dembele is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League when he is fit but the robust nature of the league seems to be catching up to him.

The 31-year-old was part of the Belgian side that finished third in the World Cup, adding miles and games to the midfielder.

Hopefully, Dembele comes back strong for us as we will need him in the second half of the season. It would have been great for the 31-year-old to play some games during the festive period.

However, a fit Dembele can work wonders for Tottenham later on in the campaign.
