Juan Foyth

Juan Foyth has been on an incredible high since making his Premier League and recently got his debut for Argentina as well.

The 20-year-old scored the only goal of the game in our 1-0 win over Crystal Palace recently and was man-of-the-match in Argentina’s 2-0 win over Mexico.

The youngster did have an injury scare and played the game with a bandage on his cheek. Football.london reports that the defender needed six stitches on his cheek after a training ground collision and told Ole (h/t Football.london):

“I didn’t want to have to drop out.

“The moment it happened, I asked the doctor if I could be there. I wanted to be there.

“Thankfully, I was able to. They said to not worry, it was just a small cut.

“If it opened up, they’d sew me back up.

“And if happened again, they would sew me up again.”

Juan Foyth celebrates with his Tottenham teammates

The youngster certainly did a great job for the South American giants and has received more playing time due to Jan Vertonghen’s injury.

Tottenham have done well in developing players under Mauricio Pochettino, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Foyth has grown at the club.

The Argentine is on the track to greatness, and it will be interesting to see if he starts for Spurs when we play Chelsea at the weekend.

Tottenham are just one point behind the Blues, and a win should put us back in the race for the Premier League.
