Sander Berge of Genk is being watched by Tottenham, according to Bleacher Report. The Norway international has been catching the eye of a number of clubs after his performances for the Belgian side.
The 20-year-old Berge plays as a deep-lying midfielder and has 11 league games under his belt this season.
The report adds that Tottenham have to move fast if they want to sign the Norwegian, and the player could cost around £15million.
The other Premier League club interested in the 20-year-old is Fulham, and the midfielder could be a smart signing.
Berge has slowly grown in his role at Genk and has 14 appearances this season, the same from the entirety of last season.
Tottenham have options for their midfield but we need to bring in some fresh blood given Mousa Dembele’s injury problems and Moussa Sissoko nearing 30.
Tottenham didn’t sign any players in the summer window, but we need to spend in January if we are to push on from our current position.
Spurs are fourth in the Premier League and we face Chelsea in our next tie. Tottenham have to make a statement against a top-four site and need to perform against the Blues after losing to Manchester City and Liverpool earlier in the season.
Tottenham have to be at their best in the next week or so as we play Inter Milan and Arsenal after the game against the Blues.
