Giorgi Chakvetadze of Genk is being tracked by Tottenham among a host of other clubs, according to Marca.
The 19-year-old Georgian moved to Gent a couple of years ago and has been one of their star players. The midfielder has four goals and four assists for the Belgian outfit and recently scored for the Georgian national side during the UEFA Nations League.
The report claims that Barcelona’s scouts were watching him during the recent international break, and the likes of Bournemouth, Bayern Munich and Shakhtar Donetsk are also keeping an eye on the 19-year-old.
Marca further claims that the youngster is known for his ball-winning ability and uses his strength well. Chakvetadze was almost a Bayern Munich player before he signed for Gent but the Belgians had agreed on a deal before the German club.
The youngster has a long way to go and there is no real talk about us submitting a bid. However, with attention from numerous clubs across the continent, it will be interesting to see how the Georgian does for the rest of the season.
Tottenham have a lot of quality youngsters looking to break into the first-team, and with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm, they will get chances to play and grow.
