Tottenham face roadbloack in pursuit of AS Roma star as club refuses to sell in January

published :

Cengiz Under

Cengiz Under will not be leaving Serie A giants AS Roma in the winter transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The Turkish youngster has been incredible since joining the Italians but Roma’s director, Monchi, is not interested in selling the 21-year-old in January.

Tottenham have an interest in the Turkish attacker (h/t Calciomercato), and Under has three goals and four assists for Roma this season.

The report adds that a trio of other Premier League clubs are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Under, and the report adds that the player has a contract with the Italians till 2022.

The Turk would be a quality signing for any club in the Premier League, and Mauricio Pochettino could work wonders for the 21-year-old.

Under had a decent first season with Roma and scored eight goals in all competitions for the club. The youngster seems set to score and assist more this season, and it will be interesting to see how much attention he grabs in the upcoming transfer windows.

The Turkish youngster would provide Tottenham with a quality option in the team but it is hard seeing him start ahead of Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min or even Erik Lamela.
