Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that managing in Italy would be a “wonderful experience” ahead of our clash against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The Argentine claimed he is happy managing Tottenham but was open to also taking over the national side some day.

Pochettino was quoted by the Evening Standard as he joked about Daniel Levy sacking him:

“My contract expires in four-and-a-half years — if [Spurs chairman Daniel] Levy does not fire me first!”

The Argentine added he wants to win the Premier League at our new stadium before speaking of his national team dreams.

“Seriously, today I see myself here. I dream of winning a trophy with Tottenham, maybe the Premier League in our new stadium.

“In the future to also manage the Argentine team is my desire.

“The important thing is to be happy and I am right now. Me in Serie A? I have Italian origins and it would be a wonderful experience.”

The Spurs manager moved to the Premier League from his spell at Espanyol, and the Argentine revealed that Sampdoria had contacted him about potentially joining the Italian side.

Pochettino added that he would need to pick up the language if he were to move to the Serie A, and added that Italians and Argentines have the same passion for football.

The Spurs manager is one of the best in the world, and we are extremely lucky to have him. Pochettino has turned the team around during his spell in London, and there is no doubt we will get better in the months to come.
