Tottenham star Mousa Dembele has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and Juventus, according to Calciomercato.
The report claims that Dembele has rejected all offers by Spurs to extend his stay beyond the season, and the Belgian wants an increase on his current salary.
The midfielder earns €5million (h/t Calciomercato) on his current deal but wants close to €7-8million (h/t Calciomercato) per year at his next club.
The report adds that the player has stopped all contract talks on hold with Spurs and is waiting for the higher offer to be “submitted”.
A bonus fee for his entourage of €2million (h/t Calciomercato) is also in the pipeline and the report is quick to add that the Serie A giants are unwilling to negotiate Dembele’s requirement.
The 31-year-old is currently recovering from an ankle injury he picked up in our win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and has started nine games for us in all competitions this season.
The midfielder has also attracted interest from other clubs in Europe and China, as per the report, and it will be interesting to note what Tottenham does with the star in the coming months.
We could earn a quick buck by selling him on the cheap in the winter window, but Dembele could also wait till the end of the season and move on a free.
