Marco Asensio isn’t interested in a move to Tottenham in the January window, according to Marca (h/t Bleacher Report).
The report claims that the Premier League side made a bid for the Spaniard, who is struggling for starts at Real Madrid under new manager Santi Solari.
The 22-year-old hasn’t found goals to come easy too with just one in all competitions for the La Liga giants.
Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the Spain international, but the report claims that Asensio rejected the move to Tottenham as he wants to succeed at Madrid.
The last start for the Spaniard came in the 3-0 loss to Eibar on 24 November, and the attacker would have made an excellent signing for Pochettino.
The 22-year-old would not have come on the cheap and Spurs need to bring in a few fresh players given we did not sign anyone in the summer transfer window prior to the start of the season.
Asensio is one of the brightest players in the Real Madrid side, and he could have pushed us higher in the Premier League if we got him.

We are just six points behind the league leaders Liverpool, and the right signings are necessary if we are to finish in the top four or even achieve something special this season.
