Tottenham target (h/t Football.london) Tanguy Ndombele is open to moving away from Lyon. The French midfielder has been excellent for the Ligue 1 side and spoke about his possible transfer last season.
Speaking to Canal Football (h/t Football.london), the 21-year-old midfielder claimed Lyon did not allow him to leave:
“I could have gone [last summer], maybe things would have worked out well.
“The club was firm, they didn’t want me to leave. I didn’t feel like leaving, and I think that today you can see that it was the best decision for me.”
The French midfielder further claimed that sticking with Lyon was a great decision since he was playing for the national side at the moment.
However, the midfielder added that he never dreamt about playing for a certain club and wasn’t shutting down the chance to move.
“I don’t imagine how my career will go, I live it instead. When I was young I didn’t dream of being in this or that club, I have never dreamed of being in a specific club like that.
“Of course they are big clubs, I don’t close the door to anyone.”
The report adds that Lyon have slapped a €90million tag on the 21-year-old, and Manchester United have entered the race for Ndombele.
Manchester City also had a bid of €50million (h/t Football.london) being rejected, and it seems we will have to break the bank to sign the midfield dynamo.

Tottenham could do with some new players in the side, and Ndombele would be a quality addition under Mauricio Pochettino.
