Tottenham face a fight on their hands to keep hold of Mauricio Pochettino as Real Madrid are interested in the Argentine (h/t Daily Mail).

The report claims that Manchester United and Chelsea also kept tabs on our manager and some players are concerned that the manager would leave after taking us to the new stadium.

Pochettino saw us qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League after a 1-1 draw against Barcelona and one star from that game spoke about the stature of the Argentine.

Danny Rose was excellent at the Nou Camp and spoke about what a great job Pochettino has done in recent years (h/t Daily Mail):

“What he has done here in the last four or five years has been amazing.

“It’s no secret all the teams have spent a lot more than what we have. The manager did not made any signings in the summer and he is probably not going to make any signings in January.

“It speaks volumes of how good he is. It’s no coincidence that every day you read Real Madrid want him or United want him. It’s exactly what he deserves.”

Rose added that Pochettino has transformed the side and wanted the Argentine to stay at the club for a “long time”.

The manager has truly worked wonders for the side and has turned us into a top-four team after years of struggling in mid-table.

The Argentine is one of the best in the world and we need to do everything to keep him. Spurs have to allocate funds for the manager to spend in the winter window, and hopefully, he can sign a player or two and take us to the next level.
