The Copa Libertadores is one of the biggest club football competitions in the world, and this season’s final pitted two arch rivals against each other.
River Plate faced Boca Juniors in the two-legged affair which was marred by violence ahead of the second leg.
The game was shifted to Spain with River going on to lift the trophy, and there sure were a lot of celebrations from one set of fans.
Tottenham have a sizeable South American contingent and Erik Lamela is an ex-River player. A video surfaced of him shaving Paulo Gazzaniga’s hair after a bet on who would win the title, and the Boca fan certainly took it sportingly.

Gazzaniga has been one of the breakout stars for us this season, especially when Hugo Lloris was injured. Lamela has also found his form for us, but he is nursing a minor injury.

Hopefully, we continue performing well, and after qualifying for the next round of the Champions League, there should be a lot of confidence in the side for the remainder of the season.
