Christian Eriksen was the saviour for Tottenham against Burnley as he scored a late goal to win us the three points.
The Dane came off the bench in a game which seemed destined to end in a draw as the Clarets fought hard to hold on.
This was Eriksen’s first Premier League goal of the season and kept us in touch with the top two. We are just three points behind Liverpool, who face Manchester United on Sunday.
There were several players that did well on Saturday, and here are our player ratings.
Hugo Lloris – 5.5/10
The Frenchman didn’t have much to do with regards to saves, but some of his kicking and punching wasn’t on point.
Kieran Trippier – 6.5/10
It was great seeing the Englishman back, but some of his crosses weren’t all that great.
Toby Alderweireld – 7/10
The Belgian had to be at his best against a physical Burnley side, and he did a great job at the back.
Ben Davies – 8/10
Davies was played in the heart of the defence, and the Welshman did really well in making some clearances early on.
Danny Rose – 6/10
Rose got into great spaces in the opposition third, but even his crossing wasn’t great.
Moussa Sissoko – 7/10
Another decent outing for the Frenchman as he did his bit by protecting the defence and making some important runs into the opposition half.
Oliver Skipp – 7/10
The youngster made his Premier League debut and didn’t look out of place. He kept the ball really well and was tidy in his passing before being subbed.
Erik Lamela – 6.5/10
The Argentine should have scored against Hart tonight, but this was another frustrating night for the attacker.
Dele Alli – 5/10
This wasn’t the greatest showing from Alli, but he worked hard and tried to create something for Tottenham.
Lucas Moura – 5.5/10
Moura had one of the best chances after a ball from Lamela, but he shot wide. The Brazilian was eventually replaced by Eriksen.
Harry Kane – 7/10
Kane tried to get some shots off but they were blocked or saved. The Englishman kept trying and provided the assist for Eriksen’s goal.
