The Englishman is the latest Tottenham player to pick up an injury, with Mousa Dembele already recovering from a problem.
Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Hugo Lloris, Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli and Danny Rose have all faced time away from the side with injuries this season.
Dier had been in decent touch in recent games and several Tottenham fans wished the Englishman a speedy recovery.
Blimey. Wishing you a speedy recovery, @ericdier #COYS
