Tottenham have discovered another problem with their stadium as the Times (h/t Mirror) claims a roof leak has been discovered in the giant south stand.
We were expected to open the stadium in September but there have been several delays and an official opening date hasn’t been confirmed.
The report adds that Spurs don’t believe the leak is a huge problem and that it won’t affect the opening of the ground.
Tottenham were to play Liverpool in their stadium opener and recently confirmed that our clash against Manchester United on 13th January would also take place at Wembley.
The report is quick to add that Spurs hope the stadium will be ready in February as we have our Champions League round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.
Tottenham have played in two stadiums this season with one Carabao Cup game being held at Stadium MK. Wembley has been our home for almost two years and the stadium has its own problems with other events being held between our football games.
Manchester City played at the ground just a day after an NFL game,\ and the pitch was in a horrible condition.
The Tottenham fans have had to suffer a bit without having a real home to enjoy, and hopefully, we will move into the new stadium before the end of the season.
