Tottenham would want to avenge their 4-2 North London derby loss from a couple of weeks ago as they face Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were leading against their rivals at half-time. However, things took a turn for the worse as the Gunners ran out 4-2 winners, and even Jan Vertonghen got sent off.

The Spurs players don’t need any reminding that the Gunners won’t be easy to defeat at their own patch, but the Carabao Cup will give Pochettino scope to rotate his side.

The manager confirmed that Paulo Gazzaniga would start in place of captain Hugo Lloris, and the pair of keepers seemed to be in great spirits ahead of the derby.

Pochettino handed more good news regarding a couple of our defenders. Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez were close to returning to the first-team, and the pair were even seen taking part in training before the Arsenal game.

Of course, our hopes of defeating the Gunners will partly lie on the attacking prowess of the likes of Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane.

Son has been great in recent weeks while Eriksen and Lucas could do with more game time.

Moussa Sissoko has been a beast for Spurs this season, and the Frenchman might get a start against the Gunners.

Toby Alderweireld should start in the heart of the defence, given Jan Vertonghen’s injury, and the Belgian has been one of the most consistent players this season.

Tottenham have to wary of the Gunners as the home side lost to Southampton at the weekend, but we have the players to get the right result on Wednesday.
