Danny Rose launched an incredible attack on Arsenal after our 2-0 win over the Gunners in the Carabao Cup.
Son Heung-min and Dele Alli scored in the quarter-final win with the Englishman even being hit by a bottle from the stands after the goal.
This was sweet revenge for our 4-2 loss a few weeks back, and the Arsenal players gloated a lot on social media.
Rose believed this result was karma for their actions and spoke after the recent win (h/t Daily Star):
“Our only motivation was remembering the nonsense that Arsenal posted after the game a few weeks ago. That was our motivation.
“Players that have only played ten games for Arsenal were getting ahead of themselves. We used that in a positive way. Karma, you know? They fully deserve what they got, Arsenal.”
The England left-back added that getting to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup was motivation for the side and went hard in on Arsenal.
“Just remember, they won a game at the beginning of December and they’re celebrating like they won the league.
“We’re over the moon we’ve put that result right. We’ll see where they are come the end of the season and we’ll see where we are.”
Tottenham are five points clear of the Gunners in the Premier League table as we look to chase down the Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Spurs don’t have an easy semi-final tie as we play Chelsea in the two-legged affair. However, if we have the same hunger and desire that we did against the Gunners, we will easily defeat the Blues.
