Tottenham were incredible in their 6-2 mauling of Everton on Sunday and Man of the Match Son Heung-min isn’t worried about what the other teams are doing.

Spurs lie just two points behind second-placed Manchester City and six behind Liverpool. The pair are being touted as the favourites for the title this season (h/t Football.london) but Son ensured the focus of the players remains on the team alone.

The South Korean scored a brace in the Everton win and said (h/t Football.london):

“We don’t care about the other teams, the game takes us closer [to them], but we focus on ourselves and take it game by game.

“We deserved this win, so I’m really happy. We dominated the game from the start, were unlucky to be 1-0 down, but showed our character our mentality, to score six goals here, in a difficult place, we are happy to get three points.”

Tottenham players celebrate

This is Tottenham’s best ever start to the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if we can keep our form going for the rest of the season.

Tottenham have a couple of home games in the festive period and with Manchester City and Liverpool facing each other soon, we should be in the perfect position to take advantage should either team drop points.
