French striker Alassane Plea has suggested that he wants to move to a bigger club after a decent start with Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 25-year-old was linked with Tottenham in the summer (h/t Football.london) as well as West Ham and Newcastle but ended up in the Bundesliga.
The attacker wants to play regular Champions League football and told Canal+ (h/t Football.london):
“Yes, there are plans, we always want to play in the best clubs.
“I wanted to pass an intermediate step and that’s why I came here. It’s up to me to be good, and try to find a super club and play the Champions League.”
The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Monchengladbach and has helped them to the third position in the Bundesliga table.
The striker decided to join the Bundesliga side from Nice and things seem to have worked out well for him. It will be interesting to see our activity in the winter window given we didn’t spend a penny in the summer. Tottenham need to find some quality cover for Harry Kane and Plea could be a decent option to have.
The Frenchman has the physicality to play in the Premier League and has a great long shot in him. However, he would probably have to sit on the bench when Kane leads the line and I am unsure if the striker would be pleased about that.

Spurs have become regulars in the Champions League under Mauricio Pochettino and we are certainly heading upwards under the Argentine.
