Tottenham don’t have an easy fixture on Saturday as they take on the impressive Wolverhampton Wanderers. The newly-promoted side have taken points off Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, and should not be taken lightly.
Spurs could put Liverpool under severe pressure with a win at Wembley, but there are several players who are slowly recovering from their injuries.
A club statement confirmed that Serge Aurier is training with the team while there could be some good news with Dele Alli set to be assessed prior to Saturday’s game.
The English midfielder was subbed in our 6-2 win over Everton after picking up a hamstring problem and did not feature against Bournemouth.
Aurier suffered a groin problem in our win over Leicester City and hasn’t played since. There was some good news for Tottenham as Victor Wanyama and Jan Vertonghen are taking up on-field rehabilitation. We have missed the pair in this packed festive schedule.
Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier are two players who won’t play against Wolves. The Belgian is in the final stages of his rehab while Dier is recovering from an appendix operation earlier in the month.
Spurs have been excellent in their previous two games and we could be in for a goal-fest on Saturday when we face the newly promoted side.
