Tottenham were brought crashing down to earth after Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated us 3-1 at Wembley. Spurs were coming off resounding wins over Bournemouth and Everton, and started the game well with Harry Kane scoring the opener.
The Englishman drove home in the 22nd minute and we looked alright for most of the first half. Things took a dramatic turn in the second half as Wolves started to get more in the game.
It took the away side until the 72nd minute to score as Willy Boly equalised and then Raul Jimenez gave them a shock lead in the 83rd minute.
The comeback was complete from the side in the 87th minute as Helder Costa finished us off. This was a shock as we looked like challengers for Liverpool, and Mauricio Pochettino has to head back to the drawing board. This also puts more pressure on us as Manchester City could move above us if they win tomorrow.
Tottenham looked tired and there seemed to be a spark missing from the side in the second half. Wolves have to be given credit for their ability to keep pushing, and that paid off in the end. Our next game is against Cardiff City away, and the Bluebirds won’t be easy fodder as they beat Leicester.
Many Tottenham supporters were shocked by the result and shared their reactions on Twitter.
To be fair Wolves have beaten Chelsea, drew with man city, arsenal and man united and they made a difficult game for an in form Liverpool team. Wolves are a good side

people in the replies acting like we just a final ffs it’s ONE GAME however the lack of signings and the several injuries is slowly creeping up on us, we must act quickly if we even want to challenge for a trophy #COYS

That’s what you get giving 0 respect to Wolves. They’ve scalped some big names this season yet you expected a walk over. Shambles of a second half. Wake up for Saturday! #COYS⚽️
