Tottenham have been in excellent form in recent weeks, barring that loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
We have scored goals for fun and continued banging them in at the weekend. Tranmere were hammered for seven goals by a much-changed Spurs team, and we face a test next week when we go up against Manchester United.
The Red Devils have turned their season around after the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the interim manager has won every game he has been in charge of.
Tottenham beat United early in the season and the Red Devils have a slight injury problem with Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean missed a couple of months due to a hamstring problem and was injured in the win over Reading in the FA Cup.
Solskjaer was speaking after the game and hoped it would not be a major problem (h/t Metro):
“I hope it’s [Alexis injury] not going to be too bad – it’s the same hamstring that he’s been having trouble with but we’ll see.”
Even if Sanchez does not play, United seem to have a swagger about them but their defence hasn’t been great and the manager believed they would concede if the Red Devils played in the same manner.
Tottenham are in the title race and a win over United would provide us with a lot of confidence for the remainder of the campaign.
We have the quality to easily defeat the Red Devils but have to play to our best to pick up three points.
