Harry Kane has been rated as the most valuable player in the Premier League, according to a report from CIES Football Observatory (h/t Evening Standard).

The Englishman, however, is not the most valuable player in the world as he ranks behind Kylian Mbappe, but beat his teammate Neymar, as per the report.

Two Premier League stars complete the top five with Raheem Sterling and Mohamed Salah sneaking ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala, Romelu Lukaku and Leroy Sane.

Surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo is only placed 19th in the list with Dele Alli also making it into the top 20.

The report claims that Kane is worth €200.3m while Mbappe is worth €218.5million.

Kane has been one of the best in the world and it comes as little surprise that he is valued this highly by the CIES report.

The interesting aspect of this is the “exclusive algorithm” which has been used to calculate the values. Kane coming ahead of Messi and Ronaldo is certainly a talking point, but the Englishman is possibly the best striker in football today.

The Englishman led the Three Lions to the semi-finals of the World Cup and even picked up the Golden Boot in the competition.

Kane has also been in great form this season for Spurs with 18 goals in all competitions. Mbappe had a stellar year for France and PSG, and his age could have played a part in calculating his value.
