Tottenham’s hopes of winning a first Premier League title were dealt a severe blow as Manchester United ran out 1-0 winners at Wembley.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game in the first half as United extended their unbeaten start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Tottenham had several chances to score but David de Gea was in top form. The Spaniard made some incredible saves, however, some of our shots went straight to him.

Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld must be ruing their chances, but the spotlight, once again, fell on Kieran Trippier.

It was the Englishman’s misplaced pass that led to the only goal of the game with Paul Pogba smacking home a delightful ball for Rashford to chase. The United forward made no mistake as he drilled low past Hugo Lloris.

Trippier hasn’t been able to replicate his form from the World Cup, and this isn’t the first instance of his mistake being punished by the opposition.

The Englishman was at fault for a penalty we conceded against Wolves earlier in the campaign and has often been sloppy with his passing.

Many Tottenham fans were unhappy with the right-back’s performance at Wembley, and they shared their opinions on the Englishman on Twitter.
