Tottenham’s Premier League title hopes suffered a huge blow as Manchester United won 1-0 at Wembley.
Spurs came into the game following a tough win against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, but the Red Devils continued their winning streak under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian has picked up six wins from his first six games, and the only goal of the game was scored by Marcus Rashford.
Tottenham played a strong line-up and we dominated the tie after the goal went in. However, there was one man standing tall and blocking everything we threw at him.
David de Gea might have struggled in recent months, but the Spaniard was in top form last night.
There were some incredible saves from the keeper as efforts from Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld were somehow kept out by his feet.
United were stuck in their own half during the final 30 minutes of the game, but we could not make our domination count.
The loss meant Spurs lie nine points behind Liverpool, and Manchester City could extend their lead in second place over us with a win against Wolves.
This defeat throws several questions at the team regarding their mental fortitude and ability to deal with pressure, but several Spurs fans were positive and shared their reactions on Twitter.
This was the big test for Ole, and media will say he passed, but in reality his team were dominated for 45 minutes, and only won due to a defensive error and an epic performance from their keeper.
Our players did everything and deserved all 3 points, but that’s football#COYS— Gareth Brett (@klasing) January 13, 2019

Doesn’t help when @HKane @dele_official keep kicking the ball straight at a keeper who is the best in the business at saving shots hit straight at him. Shame as the performance was very good

De Gea was unreal. Unlucky boys

Great game by Spurs , just unlucky.
De Gea is only reason why we didn’t win. Lamela is our worst player, not Trippier . Lamela out! COYS!— Bozoviccc (@Bozovicccc) January 13, 2019
Trippier gave it away yes, but the amount of clear cut chances we missed today. No ones calling for Harry or Dele to leave the club. Honestly🙄 we played really well just didn’t happen for us

What more could we do, everyone know we shouldve won that game! Our finishing cost us simple as, we move on and just make sure it doesn’t cost us again
