Bournemouth want £75m for star striker Callum Wilson with Tottenham interested in the 26-year-old, according to Sky Sports (h/t Evening Standard).
The forward has also been linked with Chelsea, and the report claims that the Blues are willing to spend £50m for the Englishman. The report adds that West Ham United are also tracking the Bournemouth striker.
Wilson has been one of the most impressive players under Eddie Howe, and it will be interesting to see if he does make a switch in the winter window.
The 26-year-old has nine goals and five assists from 20 games in the Premier League and could fit into any top side in the Premier League.
It would be difficult seeing him start ahead of Harry Kane at Tottenham, but we need to sign some strikers given the struggles of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.
Son Heung-min has done a decent job alongside Kane, but we will miss the South Korean as he leaves for the Asian Cup.
Kane picked up an injury in our 1-0 defeat to Manchester United, and it is to be seen how long the Englishman could be out for.
Spurs did not dip into the transfer window in the summer, but if we have any hopes of picking up silverware we have to sign some players now.
Wilson might not be the biggest name out there, but he knows the Premier League well and has done admirably since Bournemouth gained promotion to the Premier League.
