Tottenham star Serge Aurier was arrested on suspicion of assault after a late-night incident with his partner, according to the Sun.
The Ivorian was held by the police on Saturday night with Tottenham playing Manchester United on Sunday, as per the report.
The report adds that the player was detained for several hours, but Aurier denied assault and was released without any charge.
The 26-year-old right-back missed the 1-0 loss to Manchester United with Kieran Trippier starting on the right side of the defence.
The report adds that Aurier lives with reality TV star Hencha Voight in Hertfordshire with their baby. A source told the Sun that the couple had a huge row with the child on Saturday night, and the police were subsequently called.
A spokesperson for the Hertfordshire police claimed that a 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault while a Spurs spokesman added that they were aware of the situation regarding the defender (h/t Sun).
This is not the first time that Aurier has been involved with the police as he was ruled out against Arsenal during his time with Paris Saint-Germain due to him assaulting a police officer in France.
Spurs have had their problems with the law this season as Hugo Lloris was caught driving under the influence of alcohol earlier in the campaign.
