Liverpool striker Divock Origi is an option for Tottenham as they look at someone to take up Harry Kane’s mantle at the club, according to the Telegraph (h/t Express).
The English striker picked up an ankle injury in our 1-0 loss to Manchester United and is expected to be out for two months.
The report adds that Fernando Llorente wants to leave Spurs after struggling for minutes under Mauricio Pochettino, but the report adds that West Brom’s Jay Rodriguez is also being tracked by Spurs over a possible move.
Rodriguez played under Pochettino during their time at Southampton, and the Englishman has scored 13 times for the Championship side looking to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The report adds that a move for Origi would be easier given he only has 18 months left on his current deal.
The Belgian has scored just two goals all season for the Reds but one came in their win over Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Tottenham need to find someone who can do a job for a couple of months, and we have to find someone quickly given that Son Heung-min is away on Asian Cup duty.
Origi has struggled to play regularly, and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for him. The Belgian hasn’t been in great form and has had his injury issues too, and he will not get a lot of playing time thanks to the presence of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

We could take him on loan for the rest of the season, but Spurs need a striker that is guaranteed to score goals and not make risky signings.
