Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has predicted that Tottenham will not sign players in the winter transfer window and march on with the players they have. Spurs are in a bit of a dilemma after Harry Kane’s injury and Son Heung-min’s absence. The English star is expected to be out for a couple of months, and Son should return at the start of February.
However, the Sky Sports reporter told the Transfer Talk podcast (h/t Express) that Spurs could potentially not spend the money from Mousa Dembele’s sale.
Sheth further highlighted an incredible stat that Spurs had only signed four players in the winter windows since 2013.
Lewis Holtby, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura and DeAndre Yedlin were the stars that joined us mid-season, and Sheth added that Tottenham will not spend in January (h/t Express):
“The news coming out of Tottenham is the absence of Kane and Son Heung-min is that they won’t change their transfer plans at all.”
The Sky Sports reporter further added that Daniel Levy is notorious for driving a hard bargain, and Tottenham would have to pay a premium for any signing in the winter window.
Tottenham need to find a solution to Kane’s absence and it will be interesting to see how we go about things in the coming weeks.

Hopefully, Son returns healthy from the Asian Cup and leads the Spurs line well until Kane’s return.
