Sky Sports claims Tottenham are not interested in the services of Andy Carroll.
The Englishman was linked with a move to Spurs recently as we seem to be struggling for attacking options at the moment.
Harry Kane is out injured while Dele Alli was the latest player to pick up a problem in the 2-1 win over Fulham.
Fernando Llorente didn’t perform well against the Cottagers as he scored an own goal and missed several chances to beat Sergio Rico.
Spurs have further problems with Son Heung-min away on international duty, but he should return in early February once the Asian Cup ends.
Carroll has had his injury concerns since his move to West Ham, and the Englishman is out of contract at the end of the season.
The report adds that West Ham have an option to extend the Englishman’s stay, but it comes as great news that we aren’t interested in signing the 30-year-old Carroll.
The Englishman is difficult for defences to handle on his best day, however, his fitness is a big issue, and importantly, we have someone who can play as a target man in Llorente.
There is no need to move for Carroll and hope he can do a decent job while Kane recuperates. Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela could do the striker’s job till we get Son or Kane back, and it will be interesting to see how we line-up to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday.
