Tottenham’s forgotten man Vincent Janssen could follow Mousa Dembele to China, according to the Sun.

The report claims that Janssen rejected a loan move to Sevilla as Spurs and the player wants a permanent move away.

The 24-year-old has been frozen from the Spurs irst-team and has played for the development squad this season. The Dutch striker joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar for £17m (h/t Sun) finishing as the top scorer in the Eredivisie.

However, he has struggled to regain that form and spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce. The report adds that there is interest from Chinese clubs and Janssen is “desperate” to leave the club after regaining fitness.

The report adds that Tottenham are willing to take a £5m hit as they look to sell Janssen, with West Ham and Crystal Palace interested in his services.

The Dutchman never really settled well at Spurs, and this counts as one of the worst signings we have made under Mauricio Pochettino.

Janssen always gave it his all on the pitch for Spurs, and hopefully, we can make a decent sum from his sale.

It will be interesting to see where he does end up given that China would be a relatively less strenuous league to play in compared to the Premier League.

The striker still has a few quality years in him, and the right move could relaunch his career.
