Son Heung-min’s Asian Cup journey continues as South Korea defeated Bahrain 2-1 in extra-time.
The win took the South Koreans into the quarter-finals of the competition and they face a tough task against Qatar in a couple of days.
The winners from that tie could take on the UAE or Australia, with the final being scheduled for 1 February.

This would mean another week at least for Son to be away, and he will be difficult to replace for Tottenham over the next games.
Son would miss the games against Chelsea (Carabao Cup), Crystal Palace (FA Cup) and Watford (Premier League) should the South Koreans reach the final.
The forward would be a major doubt for the clash against Newcastle on 2 Feb given this takes place just one day after the final.
The good news is that the attacker has been in great form for Spurs over the past two months, and could hit the ground running on his return.
Tottenham have a few problems in the attack with Harry Kane and Dele Alli ruled out till March. Son should be back for the important clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on 13 February, however, many fans weren’t pleased with South Korea’s progress.
