Moussa Sissoko is a doubt for the Carabao Cup second leg semi-final against Chelsea but the Frenchman believes Tottenham could break their trophy drought this season.
Mauricio Pochettino has built a fantastic team over the years but the one thing missing from this team is silverware.
Spurs hold a 1-0 advantage over the Blues in the Carabao Cup, and Sissoko told the Daily Star that this team deserves to win something:
“How close are we to winning something? In the Premier League every season is crazy and you have to fight until the end. There are a lot of good teams.
“But we need to stay focused on our job and give our best and then we will see where we are. Hopefully we will win something this season because the team deserves it.”
The Frenchman added that his injury was not” bad” and he was doing some treatment. Sissoko didn’t rule himself out of the Carabao Cup game, which won’t be an easy tie.
The midfielder claimed the team could not think of the final yet as the second leg would not be a test, but believed the team had enough quality to deal with their injury concerns.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli are both ruled out of the tie as they will only return in March while Son Heung-min is away on international duty.
The clash against Chelsea will be followed by a FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace at the weekend, and this will be a true test of our squad depth.

Hopefully, we come out on top from the two London derbies and keep our trophy dreams alive.
