Tottenham outcast Vincent Janssen could remain in the Premier League as Burnley are interested in the 24-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.

The Dutch striker isn’t part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and wasn’t in the side that faced Fulham at the weekend.

Tottenham lined up with Fernando Llorente leading the attack and young striker Kazaiah Sterling on the bench.

The report claims that the Clarets could move for the 24-year-old available for £15million, which would be a fantastic deal given we signed him from AZ Alkmaar for £17million in 2016.

The Dutch striker has been part of our Premier League 2 squad and has recovered from a foot injury earlier in the season.

There is additional interest from the MLS and China, as per the report, and the Dutch striker rejected a loan to Sevilla to permanently exit Spurs.

Janssen has struggled to make things work and spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce. The 24-year-old needs to play first-team games but it seems unlikely to happen this season at Spurs.

Burnley require a striker as they bid to avoid relegation. It will be interesting to see if Janssen is ready to swap Premier League clubs.

The deal would be a win-win for all parties and it would be great if the Dutchman finds his shooting boots soon.

Janssen has always been committed to the club but this is one signing who has failed to impress every time he was on the pitch for Spurs.
