Harry Kane shared an update related to his ankle injury via an Instagram story. The England captain picked up ligament damage in the 1-0 loss to Manchester United and is expected to be out till March.
This would come as a huge blow to Tottenham as we have some tough games between now and Kane’s return.
However, the Englishman seems to be on the road to recovery as the video highlighted the 25-year-old walking with his trainers just nine days after the injury against United.
It is difficult to ascertain if Kane will return before the mid-March date, but this is a great sight as the Englishman has returned from similar injuries and hasn’t lost his form or touch.
The 25-year-old is one of the key players for Spurs but isn’t the only one facing a spell on the sidelines.
Dele Alli, his England teammate, will also be out till March after injuring his hamstring in the 2-1 win over Fulham.
Son Heung-min is away on international duty, but his latest return would be at the start of February when the Asian Cup ends.
Spurs need their top players back soon as the chance of winning the Carabao Cup ended last night. Chelsea got the better of us in a 4-2 shootout win after the semi-final second leg ended 2-1.
