Tottenham bowed out of the Carabao Cup after losing on penalties to Chelsea. Eric Dier and Lucas Moura missed from the spot to heap disappointment among Spurs’ fans.
We don’t have a lot of time to rest though, as the FA Cup comes calling on Sunday. We play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the fourth round, and the club shared an update on some players who are carrying knocks.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli are out and are in the early stages of their rehabilitation. They will be out until March with a hope that there are no delays to recovery beyond that.
Moussa Sissoko returned to the side after picking up a knock in the loss to Manchester United. However, the Frenchman limped off in the Chelsea game and will be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s game.
Ben Davies was another player to pick up an injury, as he carried himself off on Thursday. The Welshman was replaced by Danny Rose, and the update revealed that the left-back would be unavailable for the Palace game.
Spurs have been extremely unlucky with injuries this season, and it will be another test of our squad depth when we face the Eagles on Sunday.
This is our best chance of winning a trophy, and hopefully, the team pulls through in the latest London derby.
