Harry Kane could make a quicker than expected recovery and return from his ankle injury, according to the Sun. The England captain sustained ligament damage in the 1-0 loss to Manchester United and was expected to be out until March.
However, the Sun claims that Tottenham’s medical staff are “optimistic” of the Englishman returning for the Champions League first-leg clash against Borussia Dortmund.
The forward will not play a part during this weekend’s clash against Leicester. The report adds that should Kane miss the Dortmund clash, he should be fit for the game against Burnley on 23rd February.
The Englishman has provided updates regarding his rehabilitation and took some time off to watch the Super Bowl in America.
The New England Patriots won another Super Bowl and Kane was pictured alongside several NFL personalities, including quarterback Tom Brady.
Tottenham have missed Kane’s presence in the side and have had mixed results. The team exited both domestic cup competitions in a span of four days, but have kept their Premier League hopes alive.
Spurs scored late goals in the wins over Fulham, Watford and Newcastle United. This has kept us in third place, and we sit just six points behind leaders Liverpool.
Kane should not be rushed into playing before he is 100%, and if he returns for the Burnley game, it would be a bit of a miracle.

The Englishman could be the difference as we chase the Premier League leaders and hopefully, he hits the ground running once he returns.
