Tottenham transfer news: Tottenham could complete a move for Ivan Perisic in summer
Tuttosport (h/t Sun) claims that Ivan Perisic could seal a move to Tottenham in the summer. The report adds that the Croat wanted a move to Spurs in the winter window and not Arsenal. However, the deal could not take place as the club failed to make a huge push for the Inter Milan winger.
The Turin newspaper added that Perisic’s move to Spurs could be seen as a “summer wedding”, while Arsenal and Manchester United remain interested in him (h/t Sun).
The player handed in a transfer request, however, his manager claimed that the Gunners had “conned” the 30-year-old (h/t Sun):
“However, he then realised it was not a true offer, that he’d been conned, and took a step back.”
Perisic helped Croatia reach the World Cup final in the summer, however, he hasn’t been in great form for the Italian giants.
The 30-year-old has scored three goals and two assists from 20 Serie A appearances this season.
Spurs to swap a player for Perisic
The report (h/t Sun) adds that a player-plus-cash deal could be done for the 30-year-old. The two players who could be involved in this deal are – Moussa Sissoko and Serge Aurier.

While Aurier has had his injury problems, Sissoko has easily been one of the best players this campaign. Losing the latter will be a big blow for us in the midfield.
