Tottenham transfer news: Franck Kessie shuts down rumours of joining Spurs
Franck Kessie only joined AC Milan 18 months ago but has been linked with a move away from the Italian giants, according to Calciomercato.
The 22-year-old was one of the most sought-after players in the Italian league during his spell at Atalanta, and Milan won the race for his signature.
The Ivorian has started 21 Serie A games this season with three goals and one assist to his name, however, the report claims that Milan have opted to play Tiemoue Bakayoko and Lucas Biglia in the midfield.
The Ivorian has been criticised from some parts this season (h/t Calciomercato). The 22-year-old spoke to SportMediaSet (h/t Calciomercato), shutting down rumours of a move to the Premier League.
The Ivorian claimed he was happy to play against his former club and said that he would not celebrate against them too.
“The rumors about Chelsea and Tottenham? I have 5 years of contract and I’m happy at Milan. There’s a great coach who’s doing things well, with all of us, with all the players. to return to the Champions League and I want to keep on growing it.”
Tottenham need to make signings next season
Spurs haven’t made any signings in two transfer windows, and it will be interesting to see our activity in the summer.
Kessie could have been a decent signing for Tottenham, especially with Mauricio Pochettino working wonders with young players.

Tottenham also sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window and we must add a few players in the summer window, failing which it would be difficult to challenge for the title next season.
