Latest Tottenham news: Fernando Llorente open to staying at Tottenham
Fernando Llorente came off the bench to score the third goal in our 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday. The win gave us a huge advantage ahead of the second leg round of 16 clash and the Spaniard claimed he does not have plans to leave Tottenham.
The former Athletic Bilbao striker has been linked with a return to his former club (h/t Independent), however, the Spaniard is happy at Tottenham:
“I don’t know anything. The truth is I’m very satisfied here in Spurs, I haven’t thought about leaving.
“I’m at a great club, I still have a contract, and my intention is to win trophies here. Right now, I’m enjoying a good moment, and I hope I can keep scoring goals and everything keeps going well.”
Llorente has had his troubles with scoring off the bench, and the Independent claimed that his goal against Dortmund was the first time he scored as a substitute after signing for Spurs.
Llorente doing a decent job for Spurs
Although the Spaniard is seen as a game changer for Spurs, he has had to be content with a lot of time on the bench. Llorente has deputised for Harry Kane in the starting XI since the Englishman is out injured.
The Spaniard has done a decent job this season with seven goals and four assists in all competitions this season and has been involved in five goals in his last four appearances for Spurs.

The 33-year-old could have a huge role to play even after Kane returns from his injury, and the goal off the bench would have provided Llorente with a lot of confidence for the remainder of the season.
