Latest Tottenham news: Hugo Lloris claims Son Heung-min is playing “at his best”
Son Heung-min has taken up the scoring mantle after Harry Kane’s injury. The 26-year-old scored in our 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund but has been on fire since returning from the Asian Cup.
Son has scored in our last four games and has 16 goals and six assists for Tottenham this season, and doesn’t seem to be tired despite playing in three international tournaments since the summer.
Hugo Lloris believed Son is impacting big games and is playing extremely well (h/t Daily Mail):
“Sonny has been very consistent in the past few seasons and he is improving individually his stats and his big impact in the big games.
“That’s why the gaffer, the club and his team-mates have faith.
“He’s very talented, he has a lot of skills and at the moment he is playing at his best.”
Son has been the star for us this season, however, the South Korean has always given it his all for the club from day one.
Son pushing Tottenham on
The South Korean’s goals have been important for the team as we still lie in the race for the Premier League title.
We sit just five points behind Manchester City and Liverpool and have to face both sides later in the season.
The 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund also gives us a great chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competition, and Son will play a huge role for the remainder of the campaign too.

The 26-year-old isn’t the flashiest player off the pitch, but that’s a good thing as he does all his talking on the football pitch.
