Tottenham transfer news: Expert claims Tottenham are interested in Jack Clarke
Football.london’s Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold took part in a Q+A session where he answered some questions from the supporters.
The Football.london journalist shared his thoughts on some of our stadium plans and also the plans in the summer.
One supporter asked Gold about Leeds United’s Jack Clarke being a potential signing, and the Spurs correspondent claimed the club is interested in the 18-year-old (h/t Football.london):
“Spurs scouts have been watching him very closely this season, along with Jarrod Bowen at Hull City. Much will depend on whether Leeds get promoted or not.”
Gold added that Clarke is relatively young and Spurs could sign him and send the winger back on loan. The journalist further spoke about the relationship that Mauricio Pochettino has with Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, and he wanted to see how hard the club would push for the 18-year-old.
Clarke hasn’t set the Championship alight with his performances, but there have been some bright sparks from the Englishman this season.
Tottenham could do with more home-grown options
Spurs have had their problems regarding home-grown players, especially in the Champions League. Juan Foyth was recently included into the list after we sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window, and we could do with more British talent under Pochettino.
The Argentine has a history of nurturing quality English players since his days at Southampton, and Clarke could turn out to be another Dele Alli in the making.

The winger has a lot of potential but is rough around the edges, and Pochettino could be the manager that takes the English youngster to another level.
