Tottenham transfer news: Kieran Trippier open to playing for Sean Dyche again
Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier has revealed that he would love to play under former manager Sean Dyche.
The English right-back has developed into a quality player under Mauricio Pochettino and was one of the stars in England’s World Cup journey in the summer.
The defender was signed from Burnley back in 2015 and has been more or less a regular starter for us ever since Kyle Walker left.
The Spurs star was speaking to the Burnley Express and claimed he is constantly in touch with the Clarets’ manager and was open to playing under Dyche again:
“We were close when I was at Burnley and I would love to play for him again one day. We usually talk once every two weeks, just to keep each other updated on things.”
Trippier added that the pair were always close and Dyche has helped him a lot through his formative years.
“The gaffer was a quality manager to play for; he taught me how to become a better defender as well as a better attacker.”
Homecoming for Trippier again
Tottenham travel to Turf Moor this weekend and Trippier was excited at returning to the stadium where he made a bit of a name for himself.
The Englishman thanked Burnley for making him the player he is today and claimed he will never forget about the club.
The 28-year-old hasn’t had the greatest of seasons for Tottenham and his form has fluctuated since the World Cup.
Trippier still is one of the best from dead-ball situations, but some of his in-game decisions have cost us goals.

Hopefully, he regains his form for the remainder of the season as we are in with a chance of winning the Premier League and even doing well in the Champions League.
