Tottenham transfer news: Gary Monk wants Che Adams to remain at Birmingham
Birmingham Live reports that Che Adams has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
The report claims that Tottenham are interested in the Birmingham City 22-year-old with Manchester United and Arsenal also keeping tabs on the Englishman.
Celtic are also interested in the attacking midfielder, according to the report, and the youngster was subject to several bids in the winter window.
Birmingham kept hold of the 22-year-old and Monk believes the best option would be for him to stay with the Championship side.
Monk told Birmingham Live that the player could go as far as he likes but has a long journey ahead:
“He can be a top level player but he has quite a way to go, quite a lot more understanding and maturing but he’s on that path.
“Our biggest determination is for that to be with us.”
Monk wants Adams to stay
The manager further claimed that he wants to keep hold of the 22-year-old and even believed that Adams wants to stay at the club.
Monk admitted that it would not be easy to show the players Birmingham’s plans for the future.
Adams would be a decent signing for Spurs given his potential, but we could be in a bidding battle due to the interest from various clubs in the summer.
