Latest Tottenham news: Mauricio Pochettino confronts referee after 2-1 Burnley loss
Tottenham lost to Burnley and gave up the opportunity to close the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool who lead the Premier League.
Goals from Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes were enough to cancel Harry Kane’s equaliser in the second half.
Tottenham had their chances to get the second goal, but there were some questionable decisions during the game.
Mauricio Pochettino was unhappy with the corner that led to the first goal of the game, and after the full-time whistle, the Argentine was seen having a go at referee Mike Dean.
The manager is possibly one of the calmest managers in the world, and it was a surprise seeing his frustration take the better of him after the tie.

The Argentine had to be taken away from the ref and later on, he is seen congratulating the Burnley players for their performance.
A big blow to our title hopes
This was the chance to put more pressure on the leading pair, and the loss will hurt us more given our incredible performance against Borussia Dortmund a week ago.

Even with Kane returning to the side, we should have had enough to see off Sean Dyche’s men. Spurs don’t have a lot of time to dwell on this result and our next tie is against Chelsea in midweek.
